About the Author

Debi Chimenti is a storyteller with a heart for whimsy, wonder, and the power of connection. Her Kid Klown and the Butterfly Adventures series was born in the quiet, early mornings of motherhood—spinning tales to captivate her young sons and spark their imaginations. What began as a playful way to keep them still soon evolved into a beloved collection of stories shared at playgroups and cherished by families far and wide.

Debi resides in Northern California with her husband, Joe, whose whimsical talents have brought each adventure to life through song. Together, they’ve created a legacy of creativity that spans generations. Debi finds her greatest joy in spending time with their four grown sons—Chris, Nick, Gabe, and Sam—and their wonderful partners, Megan, Paulina, Vanessa, and Cass. She is also the proud grandmother of four delightful grandchildren: Jayden, Emi, Luca, and Haven.

When she's not writing, Debi enjoys being outdoors, cheering on her favorite sports teams, and making memories with her ever-growing circle of family and friends.

About the Illustrator

Cassidy Lee is an imaginative artist who brings bold colors, quirky characters, and a dash of the unexpected to everything she creates. Known for her love of all things vibrant and “out there,” Cassidy believes that art should never be boxed into one medium (just don’t hand her watercolors 😄). Whether it’s paint, pencil, or digital tools, she’s all in—exploring and experimenting to bring stories to life in her own unique way.

A passionate teacher by day and a first-time illustrator by night, Cassidy made her publishing debut with Kid Klown and the Butterfly Adventures—a joyful collaboration sparked by Debi Chimenti’s storytelling magic and Cassidy’s love for visual storytelling.

Based in Nashville, TN, Cassidy spends her time playing every sport she can get her hands on, creating art whenever inspiration strikes, laughing with friends and family, and occasionally melting into the couch with her boyfriend Sam, with a good show, and a well-earned snack.
